Configure Your Email Signature

Gmail

  1. Select and copy the template signature below this line (do not include the frame).
  2. Open Gmail Settings (click the gear at the upper right and then click “See all settings”).
  3. In the signature section, click “Create new” and use “CTPS” as the signature name.
  4. Paste the contents of the clipboard.
  5. Edit “Your Name” to show your name. Type your name before you delete the template name and avoid pasting from the clipboard to preserve the correct font.
  6. Edit “PE, AICP” to show any degrees or professional qualifications you wish to include, or delete them.
  7. Edit “they, them, theirs” to specify the pronouns others should use when referring to you in the third person. If you prefer not to specify this, you may delete the pronouns entirely, along with the preceding vertical bar. Examples include “she, her, hers”; “he, him, his”; “they, them, theirs”; “ze, hir, hirs”; and other variations.
  8. Edit “Senior Transit Analyst/Planner” to show your title. Type your title before you delete the template title, and avoid pasting from the clipboard, in order to preserve the correct font.
  9. Click in “857.702.3700” and then click “Change.” In the edit link dialog box replace both occurrences of 3700 with your phone extension.
  10. Click in “[email protected]” and then click “Change.” In the edit link dialog box replace both [email protected]” and [email protected]” with your email address.
  11. Select “CTPS” in the “For new emails use” drop-down list and, the “On reply/forward use” drop-down list.
  12. Check the “Insert signature before quoted text in replies” box.
  13. Click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the Gmail Settings.
