Use Asana

Asana is a centralized work management tool designed to organize tasks and projects and improve collaboration within and across teams and groups. Following a pilot period, all staff were introduced to the tool in November 2021.

Access: Every staff member can access Asana with this link and log in to an Asana account with their CTPS email address. (If there is any difficulty accessing Asana or logging in, use the  helpdesk ticket form to receive assistance from the IT team.)

Guidelines: To maximize Asana’s effectiveness as a communication and collaboration tool across the agency, it is important that staff use Asana tools and communication features consistently. The agency phased in Asana guidelines in September 2023 and by December 2023, the expectation became that all staff consistently use Asana to manage projects, programs, and workflows.

Training: Our agency’s internal Asana task force produced customized training videos to help staff get started with Asana, learn how to create and assign tasks, and become more familiar with creating projects and programs.

Asana offers a range of online training videos and materials to introduce the core features of the tool and how to use them. The best place to start is by reviewing the  get to know the basics training videos as well as the navigating Asana guide. These materials will introduce the fundamentals of Asana to beginners. There is also a robust Asana Help Center available.

Asana Plugins: Asana Plugins allow users to streamline work through the various applications. By integrating with tools such as Google Drive and Gmail, Asana enables seamless communication and file sharing, eliminating the need for constant switching between platforms.
